I actually expect the Browns to win a few games this year. I think 5 wins would be a great season for them because they have a long way to go especially with the Steelers remaining quite stout and Baltimore taking a step in the right direction offensively this year as well. People, especially fantasy players, think Tyrod Taylor is a middin QB but he was an effective game manager in Buffalo in a terrible offensive situation at the WR position. Buffalo had him and McCoy and a decent TE who got hurt last season. Cleveland has legitimate offensive threats at the WR positions. If only Gordon can stay clean and on the roster this season ... I think Taylor will be serviceable enough this year that they will not go with their young gun yet. I see every reason to be optimistic in Cleveland this year. The Saints play them early this season and I am not looking forward to it.

after one game, we only have I person that guessed right last night... as many opportunities as the durty burds had, they should have won the game, much less covered the spread but matty ice couldn't translate his 100M contract to success between the lines... so here we sit

lele 1-0
fs 0-1
vincenzo 0-1
arky 0-1
jon snow 0-1

ed , if you made picks in an nfl competition, i'm not sure where it was , cuz I couldn't find it any where :?

glad you decided to join us bill … we've got 5 in the new group with jon snow entered this year in the other group , so i'll incorporate his totals into the standings… i'm pretty sure ed wants in to the nfl competition and he said he made his picks but he doesn't show up in either group...so it's a mystery

I couldn't sign up through the website for some reason. When I logged in through the ESPN fantasy app I was able to sign up and actually make my picks. I am a pretty active fantasy football owner so I don't have any excuses. I am in the app daily.

I couldn't access the original site I created last year , then I was finally able to...but then I couldn't make picks in the game... weirder than skiditch… I had to use edge instead of chrome in order to be able to make picks... makes no sense to me

Must be a Chrome thing then. Chrome has extensions that add targets and other information related to my fantasy team players that are not normally on the board (including alternative projections and rankings). I am not changing browsers, by and large. I will just operate with the ESPN Fantasy app which is essentially a mobile browser.

Also ... I am pleased with my fantasy draft this year :).

well isn't that special... playing in Foxboro, our first series we stop them and get the ball around the 20... first play is that RPO thing, miscommunication, fumble, pats recover, gronk scores on the 2nd or 3rd play … maybe things will turn around... or maybe I ought to watch the 'stros and pink hose... oh wait, that's right, they usurped the yankees' hold on the sunday night game this week

It means they won't run the table this year.

here are the standings after the first weekend... two games left to play tomorrow … for those of you not aware, one week will not kill you this year... so ed, no worries , no problems that you got in late … you can drop your worst week to determine the ultimate winner

arky 10-4
lele 8-6
weunice 8-6
fs 7-7
Vincenzo 5-9
lote 3-11

barkley rushes for 106 (first time ever for a rookie in his first game I think I heard them say) and obe has 11 for 111 and the giants lose???? how did that happen anyway?

bill, I saw you picked the bucs today...was that because of the spread... I have to believe you expected the saints to win the game , didn't you? I certainly di :fyi:

and congrats to the participants of that game for setting the record for most points ever in an opening weekend game

I did expect the Saints to win but with years of NFC South viewing under my belt I know division games get the best out of the players. 9 points is a big spread in the NFL. The crazy thing is that if Gillisee doesn't fumble and the Bucs scoop and score the Saints win that game. That was almost assuredly a 14 point swing.

Still, the Saints won't finish 8-8 this season if todays defensive performance was any indicator. The schedule is just too brutal this season. Alvin Kamara, Drew Brees and Michael Thomas will finish at the top of the RB/QB/WR positions in fantasy football though.
