Hi All,

I would like to ask if anyone is aware of any publication about paintings in the Christian catacombs. I think it was Steve Ray talking about papacy (The rock, the keys, the chair..) who mentioned that statistically, the most occurring figure after Jesus was st. Peter, many times with keys sitting on a chair.. When I search for catacomb paintings, I am not coming to that conclusion that most of them are about st. Peter. Is that part of the evidence that early Church understands the papacy how we understand it now, or is it just some opinion? Why I cannot find such pictures (except some where Peter is standing beside Christ, etc, but no chair..)? Anybody, any source, please?

Thanks.

Steve leads pilgrimages every year and has visited the catacombs extensively. You can contact him if you would like to discuss this with him personally. @JerusalemJones is his twitter account. He answers a lot of questions on there, so probably the easiest way to contact him.
