Did you ever think there would come a day that you would be glad to see gas prices as "low" as $3 a gallon? I didn't. It's around $3 here in Michigan. The lowest in the country is supposedly $2.81 in Columbia, MO

It doesn't make up for the stock market drop though.

Not what I heard on Fox News. Apparently the OPEC Arabs in the Middle East are fighin' amongst themselves. For the time, we could be big winners as this inter-familial spat goes on.

So we should be promoting unrest in the ME, not peace!

There is a perception that the world economy is slowing, and that reduced economic activity will no longer require as much fuel.

Where?

Gas prices fluctuate for many reasons. The time of year is only one very small reason and can be outweighed by many other factors. For instance, all the president has to do is proclaim (and not even follow through on) that he is planning on opening up many areas for drilling. That alone can send prices down.

We're still at $3.39 here. With points, some places will be 5 to 10 cents cheaper.
