That Exxon on University was still at 1.89 today, meanwhile most of the other stations around town are still at 2.15. Weird.

I paid $2.07 yesterday at my neighborhood Circle K.

According to my CNBC app, crude oil is going for $36.26 a barrel.

back when i was "in da bidness" , there were bumper stickers prominently declaring "pray for $40 oil"

(it was hovering between $8 and 12 at the time .... many, many, many layoffs being put in effect)

$8 to 12 ... wow! That wouldn't be much more than a barrel of water.

I think the Exxon on University may be closed .... I drove past it this evening and noticed red bags on all the pumps. There were no cars filling up and this was right around the end of rush hour. That would explain why they've seemed "stuck" at 1.89.

I noticed a few active stations around town at 2.04.

Saw $2.29 at a couple stations when I drove to Mass on Sunday.

The Exxon on University next to McDonald's still has red bags on the pumps. Price sign still says $1.89. I think they may be closed for good. Or else they had to close for an extended period because one of the employees got COVID.

our top 10 lows in the nw area of the county show 1.52-1.64... in fact, an exxon very close to me is at 1.59.... kinda surprising when all else is 1.69-1.89
