Did not enjoy tonight. Not sure that I like this format.

Only the first contest was good, and Jeff had more talent than all the others that followed - and he is gone!

i have realized that i have not watched last week's competition yet... gotta get on that today before tonight's final battle round

well finally watched last weeks show...i agreed with 3 decisions, disagreed with 2, and the last battle was too much of a toss up... but the girl whose dad was dying probably had the edge in emotional connection...which is what blake was looking for

i disagreed with cee lo picking that horrible sounding ex-model erin over the rock and roll brothers and christina picking ashley over jonathas (the usher sound alike)

i think cee lo has by far the worst team of the 4 so far

so anyone remember how last year's live round worked? do all 24 sing tonight, and voting commences, with the lowest vote total for each judge going home tomorrow....then they continue eliminating 4 each week until they get to the final 4

oh and kage... here's your reminder post :wave

The woman who lost her father during the battle rounds.

The guy who sings "Wonderful World"

The little blonde who does not know how to use a mic while wearing lipstick.

The other 17 year old girl.

The girl with the dreadlocks.

well i stayed up late last night and got everything i recorded watched...i have no idea who is going home , since it will be 2 from each team.... i can tell you my top 4, two from each team

team christina would be chris, the opera singer and jesse the 42 year old "what a wonderful world" guy

team blake would be erin, who did "living for the city" and charlotte, who sang "misery business" (though i'm not wild about her persona)

so lowest vote getter goes home, next 2 have a sing off and christina and blake choose who goes and who stays... is that what you got out of it?

an EW poll...have no idea how many voters...first i have seen it today ...eta...only been up for 45 minutes...so probably not many

'The Voice' Live Episodes, Round 1: Who did you vote for last night?
Jermaine Paul 7.29%

Chris Mann 12.55%

RaeLynn 3.64%

Moses Stone 1.21%

Naia Kete 2.43%

Lindsey Pavao 14.98%

Jordis Unga 10.93%

Sera Hill 1.21%

Erin Willett 17.81%

Ashley De La Rosa 4.05%

Charlotte Sometimes 10.53%

Jesse Campbell 13.36%

Post subject:  Re: "the voice" official comment thread

it was the opinion of the ew voice recapper (whoever she is) that raelynn, naia, and charlotte should be excised from blake's team and moses, lindsey and sera should be banished from the gaze of christina forever... since only 2 will be lost off each team, i think she is a little unclear on the concept...but oh well

heading over to see what slezak has to say...maybe there will be a new idology up 8-)

LETTER GRADES
Erin Willett: A-
Charlotte Sometimes: A-
Lindesy Pavao: A-
Jesse Campbell: B
Ashley de la Rosa: B-
RaeLynn: B-
Jordis Unga: B-
Naia Kete: C+
Sera Hill: C+
Chris Mann C+
Jermaine Paul: C-
Moses Stone: D

did anyone else think the band / backup singers were overly enthusiastic...to the point of drowning out/ overshadowing some of the contestant's performance ... slezak brought up a good point... even if the voters don't choose her, no way blake is going to the next round w/o a country singer, so raelynn's a lock

Author:  faithfulservant [ Tue Apr 03, 2012 2:03 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: "the voice" official comment thread

so apparently , if slezak's understanding is correct, the judge will be able to choose any of the bottom 3 vote getters... seems like my idea would make more sense...at least the audience/fans would be instrumental in sending one contestant home

have no recollection at all if this is how they did it last year...but i did find the season 1 shows on the site, so i'm gonna check and see

That and Blake's comments that at the CMAs everyone was talking about Raelynn.
