Speaking of Edgar Rice Burroughs, there's a John Carter movie coming out. I really enjoyed reading those books about Mars.

I read the Dune series of books, but the movie was not even close and some of what was shown (but not explained by narration) was lost on those that had not read the first couple of books. Don't know if this is the case for the John Carter movie, haven't seen it yet.

I might go, to see if Deja Thoris' costume is the same as when she first appears in PRINCESS OF MARS.
