Mother Angelica rocks!!!

Don't forget to include her in your prayers, she's terribly old and in very poor health...

That's an extremely bad video, nothing but audio and the volume is so low you can't even hear it

I recorded it off the radio because I thought it was funny. I didn't do it for Hollywood.

How about doing it so that people can actually watch it though? I turned the volume on my computer all the way up and I heard NOTHING but a faint murmur of sound

I had it cranked, could barely make it out - then the AC came on in the room and muffled what I could hear :(

"Blessed are you when people hate you, drive you out, absuse you, denounce your name on the count of the Son of Man..rejoice when that day comes and dance for joy. (laughs) I'm gonna be dancing all the time!"-Mother Angelica

My mother told me that unless I had something nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Fixed it for you to make it more applicable to this thread.

So what does your mother say when the food she ordered in a restaurant comes out burned, or undercooked?

Just as long as you don't say, "Ahh, just like at home!"

If you have not read her biography, you have missed the story of a gutsy woman of faith!

In general, that's a really stupid principle. Pretending that problems don't exist and that everything is perfect isn't nice, it's cruel.

I don't disagree. However how one identifies the problem can be said in many different ways.

How about - "I had some problems hearing the video. It is probably just my computer (or me), but did anyone else have this problem and what did you do to fix it?"

And if my mother received burnt food she would have said, "I'm sorry to bother you [server] with this, but I think my foods been a little over-cooked. Would it be possible to get another plate that's a little less done." Or something to that nature...

Its probably just the southern boy in me that thinks being blunt isn't generally the most charitable way to correct a situation or solve a problem. And no, I'm not some rube-hick who cannot negotiate or manage tough situations either. :)
