Anybody know if the movies in the theater are any good? Inception, Salt, never heard of any of them.

I've seen Toy Story 3 (excellent) and Despicable Me (pretty good but tends a bit towards the adult / dark humor at times).

Sorceror's Apprentice isn't too bad (you have to stay until the end of the credits).

Inception is supposed to be a very, very good movie. Dh and teens are dying to go see it.

Dh and I enjoyed The Last Airbender. It is getting panned but we still liked it. Then again we liked 'Lady in the Water' another M. Night Shymalan movie the critics hated.

Toy Story 3 was very good, as expected.

Jude and I want to see "The Last Airbender" for the same reason (heck, we own 'Lady In The Water' on DVD we liked that one so much). From what he has heard, the people who do not like it are the people who watch the cartoon. We don't watch cartoons, so, we should be loving the film!

I haven't seen it, but people I know who have seen Inception said it was really good.

Toy Story 3 and Inception are both EXCEPTIONAL films...I know it is a little early, being the first year of the decade and all, but walking out of the movie theater, I was already ready to declare Inception the best film of the decade. If it doesn't absolutely sweep the Oscars those things are rigged.

Inception is very deep and enthralling, you have to pay VERY close attention or you'll get lost quickly. It is a very demanding movie with a very, very, very high IQ.

I say this after every movie but...Inception is the best Christopher Nolan movie yet....I say that about every movie he makes, but it is true every time, the guy is amazing, he just keeps topping himself. Every time I think 'this movie is so good there way his next movie could be better' and every time I'm wrong.

Toy Story 3 is great, but bring a box of tissues because you'll be crying like a baby through the whole thing.

Pretty much every movie these days has an extra scene at the end of the credits, anyone who DOESN'T stay until the end of the credits is a fool.

Whenever I go to the movies, about 2/3 or more of the audience stays until the end of the credits, I think most people do these days.

The latest STAR TREK movie didn't have a scene after the credits, but they put the dedication to Gene Roddenberry & Majel Barrett Roddenberry at the very end. Not sure why they couldn't have put it at the beginning of the film, as was done for Gene with 1991's STAR TREK VI: THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY, the first Trek film released after his death.

Who hates God more than Hollywood? Then why go to a movie?

I've always liked going to the movies. We have a rare opportunity to have an evening to ourselves this weekend and have considered a movie. Maybe even a cinema grill place. Don't know what to do anymore when we 'go out'.

Christians can have entertainment.

Because not every movie is made by people hating God.

I'm thinking the same thing about Leonardo DiCaprio. I really didn't care for him in his earliest movies, but he is getting better and better. Inception is probably worth more than one viewing. Nolan put alot of effort into making it look like it all makes sense ... but I'm not sure that it does. But it is interesting either way.
