Can anybody refer me to any good holy priests near Bristol, VA? I have a friend in the area (non-catholic) who is greatly struggling with her marriage and I would love to be able to refer her to a good holy priest.

I'm not aware of any, but I'll give you a bump so your post doesn't fall off the first page.

I do not know who covers Bristol.
The priest in Marion, Va. is very kind. He covers Abingdon and Marion. When I've visited I've seen no abuses within the church. I've even seen people kneel on the hard floor. They do not have kneelers as the church is very, very, small. My feet have bumped into the people behind me when we've knelt.
Abingdon runs right into Bristol.
You might also check Johnson City, Tenn. It's on the other side of Bristol.

I ended up suggesting that she contact the pastor of St. Anne's in Bristol. The parish website looked solid.

Even, unfortunately, in Hell.

In addition to the Church Victorious (in Heaven), the Church Militant (on earth), and the Church Suffering (Purgatory), there is also the Church Failed (Hell). {My nomenclature}

It is, after all, the "Catholic" Church. :)

I don't understand how so many parishes can still have such poor websites.

The churches in that area are very small. I used to think of the one in Marion as a chapel, it's so small. Th e priest is the only one who has ever answered when I've called to find out Mass times.
I'm actually surprised that Bristol has a church since it's in-between Abingdon and Johnson City.
Imagine growing up and in your whole life never meeting one Catholic. That's possible in that area.

Because they don't have professional web designers making the page, or if they do, they 'veto' all of his good ideas and make him implement their own awful ideas.

Making a web page is easy....but making a GOOD one is hard and most people don't know how to do it.

He's just a priest hearing confessions?
