Well truthfully the only ones I have seen crying are Cleveland Cavs fans...

People are off their rockers. No sport or athlete should be this important.

The entire financial system of the city, and also the social programs that system supports, seems to be built on the foundation of "we got LeBron James".

I can understand the crying, since it actually seems to matter to the livelihood of everyone in that city. :nooo: The entire city is one big LeBron James posse.

Well there certainly has to be some kind of explanation for the irrational bitterness over his decision, in all honestly athletes leave teams all the time and 99% of the time the fans understand that it's a business and the athlete is just accepting the best offer.....normally, whenever an athlete leaves because the team will only offer x dollars and another team offers x+y dollars the fans are fine with it...

i don't think this was a $$$ situation for james...he just wanted to go (since his contract was up and he could legally leave) to the team which he feels would offer him the greatest chance of winning a championship..and he figured miami was the best fit... though since they only have 4 players under contract at the moment, they still have a little way to go :laughhard 8-)

Where would you go if it was even money?

Ohio-- 5.925% on every dollar earned for his tax bracket.
Florida--no income tax.

Some folks think this had as much to do with the decision.

As a lifeling South Fl. resident and sports fan. I'm excited for two reasons:

1.) We got a helluva trio in the 305
2.) The fact we took the prize player of Ohio. Couldn't happen to better bunch of miserable pukes

(My hatred of all things ohio sports stems from what we Miami Hurricane Fans refer to as "The robbery in the desert" where in the 2003 BCS championship to crown the 2002 BCS champion the Hurricanes were robbed of the title by an insanely late and bad pass interence call. Thus Ohio St. Won the crown. Ever since then we have wished for Ohio Sports teams to burn to the ground. I view us getting Lebron as Miami sticking a rusty screwdriver into a gaping wound into Cleveland.)

Can't wait till exact our revenge on 9/11/10 when my Hurricanes travel to Columbus and tear up the 'Shoe.

P.S. Lakers/Heat in the finals.

Tell the world that about soccer. Entire countries come to screeching halt for big games. Churches close....everything.

It would have happened if the Buckeye's hadn't "fallen" on McGahee knee blowing it out. And don't even tell me it wouldn't have mattered because the entire feeling of the game changed when he went down.

There is a reason why SI and ESPN adn every other sports entity have labeled one of the top 5 worst calls in sports history.

If the Lakers are in the finals in any capacity whatever I will not watch them. I am sick to the death of the NBA Yankees buying championships left and right. DEATH TO THE LAKERS.

Who's gonna beat them in the West?

The suns just got gutted
Jazz lost Boozer and some others
Nuggets need to show promise before I even count them as a contender
The Spurs are older than King Tut

Only the OKC Thunder have a real shot at de-throning them. The power has shifted dramatically to the East now. Bulls, Celtics, Magic, Heat are stacked. Atlanta will be decent.

Barring injury the Lakers will be in the 2011 finals.
