I recently read a review of a book, that I had intended to save, but I didn't. Since I only skimmed the article, I don't remember either the title or the author. However, I do remember a point in the book is that until the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the Crusades were not a big issue for Muslims. After all, they were the victors, and when your the victor you don't have to be concerned. They weren't even sure exactly where Saladin's grave was. Now it's a shrine, and of course, the Crusades is a sore point. All because the Muslims were no longer a dominant power in the Middle East, especially after the Balfour agrrement.

If anyone has heard of a book like this, let me know.
