Does anyone know a good book on the Catholic view of suffering and accepting this suffering?

My life went in a tailspin back in February and I haven't quite pulled out of it yet. I've been struggling with anxiety (mainly, sleep anxiety), sleep issues, and depression.

Early on I tried to fight this head on.

I had come across an article by a priest that said to "embrace your suffering". I thought that was completely absurd at the time. Embrace the thing that is tearing my life apart?

But a couple of months back I came across a book (At Last A Life) in which a guy over came severe anxiety by accepting all that the anxiety threw at him. He stopped fighting the symptoms and just said, "fine, do you worst.... but I'm moving on with my life". And in doing that the symptoms lessened and lessened until they went away completely.
I was interested in this approach and saw that there is a recent school in psychology called "ACT" (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy".... as well as an older tradition called "Morita Therapy". All based around the same thing of not fighting the anxiety/depression/sleep issues. Accept them. And that act alone, over time, helps to alleviate them.

But ACT and Morita are both steeped in Buddhism.

However, their approaches sound almost exactly like what this priest was mentioning in his article.

Could anyone help me with finding some books or articles that deal with suffering and acceptance from a Catholic position?

Thanks.

Interior Freedom by Fr. Jaques Phillipe would be good here.

I think I left out a "c" in his first name.

I seem to remember liking "Arise from Darkness" by Fr. Benedict Groeschel.

Sorry I know this is over a month late, but Peter Kreeft's Making Sense Out of Suffering is fantastic! Scott Hahn also has a little book called Hope for Hard Times that I found helpful. Praying you find something that helps if you haven't already!
