If the subject is meant to be the question, then you can Google for answers as well as I can.

Either that, or our intrepid youth decided that inquiring minds didn’t really want to know. :fyi:

The thread title is meant to be the question. Google gave me vegan sites opposing meat eating.

There is some medical studies (still early) that are popping up in connection to the carnivore and keto diets that do point to meat eating doing something plants can't.........have the body work at an optimum level. And not just for a short period of time, some doctors have been on it for some time and are studying/testing themselves and others.

Point being, meat is superior. :laughhard

You can pull up some youtube videos on this as well.

I saw one on Dr. Shawn Baker.

I'm a vegetarian, not a vegan, and I'm bringing up my daughter as a vegetarian. I'd like us both to be vegan but I don't feel confident that we could be without health risks. The other occupant of my house is a meat eater, and I have no problem with that, but I think the less meat eating worldwide the better for the environment and the climate change crisis.

No. That's why I googled.

My grandson's girlfriend is vegan. She's 20, looks 12, has a pasty complexion, very thin, and generally looks sick. Family gatherings revolve around her chosen lifestyle, and that causes tension. I gave up trying to feed her separately from the rest of the family, and told her to bring her own food. It's expensive enough buying food for a big meal for a big family. The ingredients for her meal would be almost as expensive, if I can even find them in our area. Preparation would be a nightmare, as her food can't touch ours.

I saw the same exact thing with some friends kids. Same age as our kids and given the height and size of the parents, I would expect the kids to be bigger than ours (I know there is more to it), but they were pasty, skinny, weak, and sick.

My daughter's father-in-law, for medical reasons, had a very strict diet. When I invited them for dinner I was informed in advance that his food would be brought with them. It always made things much easier.

The problem in our case is that our grandson wants her to feel included, not different from the rest of us. Well, that's hard to do at mealtime. We can't really include her, and she is different. He feels that the fact that we can't easily prepare a separate meal for her calls attention to her difference, and we're not really trying to include her, and we look down on her for her choices.

Oh...I can see how that makes it very difficult!
