 Post subject: Disposing of Sacramentals

Would it be sacrilegious to dispose sacramentals by breaking them and throwing them in the garbage? Not out of contempt of course, but just to dispose of them.

I read that you're supposed to either burn or burry them, but this is just very impractical in my case. And I doubt my parish would take them, too.

So say I have really old rosaries and holy cards. Would it be somehow untoward if I were to cut them up and shred them (thereby losing it's blessing I assume) and then throwing them away?
