I just read something that said Jesus' passion not only defeated sin and death but also the devil's pride. is that true? I thought that the devil was incapable of changing.
do you understand what I am asking?

Only God is immutable, the devil experiences change but of course he can't stop sinning.

I would have to see what you read in context before trying to make sense of it.

The devil remains proud. Imagine how bad he felt when he discovered that getting Jesus killed was the worst thing he could have done. The proud don't take failure well.

Wow. I've never thought of it this way.
