The other day I accidentally (and in my opinion) very mildly inconvenienced a neighbor (who i never met before)
He made a sarcastic remark and I sincerely said sorry but he continued to carry on. That triggered me and i started yelling at him.
Is this a sin? If it isn't, isn't it indicative of some other problem?

I don't know if it was sinful, but it's probably not a great idea to get into shouting matches with neighbors if you can help it.

I have snapped at people when they have done things that strike me as utterly stupid, then gone to Confession on Sunday because to do something like that A.) comes from pride B.) is hurtful to that person C.) shows lack of Christian charity and D.) I don't know what that person may be going through in their life.

It can also be worth looking at yourself and seeing if you can tell why you were especially sensitive to what he said, because that self-knowledge might help you respond better in the future.

I snapped at someone the other day because I was in a bad mood because it looked like someone had taken something of mine (could have just been lost but anyway). He caught me at a bad time and then there was something else that annoyed the crud out of me but I won't say what that was. In any case, I apologized profusely once I realized what a jerk I'd been, told him that i wasn't myself, etc..

It is amazing how we humans can forget that the person we are addressing actually has feelings! and that we shouldn't hurt them for no valid reason.

i hate being human, don't you?

but sometimes maybe it is not so much being human but being possessed? (laugh) OK, it's not exactly funny when THAT happens..
