Do you see where they promise obedience to the ordinary in the rite, Father? The obligation to the Divine Office might fall under that obedience, and therefore not need to be explicitly mentioned, but I can't find that in there, either.

It occurs after communion (and therefore after the ordination!) and the wording is essentially the same as it is now.

Yep. That's the place.

I moved here from a much smaller place (population about 60 thou). Actually moved back as I grew up in Houston. I miss the camaraderie of my teaching buddies, but I settled in. I'm a big-city boy at heart. Once I made my peace with that, I modified my goals for driving anywhere.

i promise that i would leave the big city in a heartbeat...i would love to move into our house in the country...5+ miles from the big 12k population city but as long as my dear wife is above ground, we are pretty much doomed to stay here ... sigh ... whacha gonna do?
