 Post subject: mortal sin question

when you commit a mortal sin does that mean God's plans and the blessings he had for you are ruined, now you have to start all over again and forget whatever it was he had in mind for you before?

isnt that what happened to moses and david though? moses couldnt enter promised land and david's son died?

In the case of David, no. God still established his throne forever.

In the case of Moses, he is still honored as the greatest Old Testament figure of them all and the leader of the Israelites.

And even if both were cases such as you describe, it would not necessarily make it a general rule.
