A glitch of some sort ate most of the posts from the last two days.

Mmmmmmm ... posts.

Quietism holds that absolute passivity is the best approach to God, that a person should not make any attempt to grow in virtue, that the only prayer worthy of the name was prayer without mental images, that a person should be absolutely disinterested in whether or not he was saved, etc. Mme. Guyon was a proponent, and in addition, she thought herself favored with private revelations ("revealing" Quietist doctrines).
